Step 8 – Supply, Installation, Training and Commissioning
In this stage the real work begins concluding in a working laboratory.
Step 8a – Supply
In this phase all parties know exactly what to provide and the client knows exactly what to receive. For the reason that the supply comes with many rules and regulations we use the Incoterms 2010 as our standard. This clearly defines the risk and cost for each party.
To ensure that the client receives what they have ordered we can offer various services such as:
Finally when the Client (or assigned inspector) is satisfied we will receive an Inspection Release Notification (IRN). As a result the IRN is basically the “green light” to proceed shipment.
Consequently we can make arrangements with the forwarders (shipping companies). We will be able to fine-tune the export and import documentation (Certificate of Origin, Packing list, Bill of Lading etc.).
This, off course, in close cooperation with the client to ensure a smooth transition to the final destination.
As a result of our long time experience with the supply we have document templates available or can certainly use yours when available.
Step 8b – Installation
Every project is different but each project requires flexibility of the team. For the reason that we need to make steps forward instead of standing still. This is exactly what we strive to be; flexible and problem solving.
Labs31 will provide a team of technicians, engineers, supervisors, project managers, etc. Depending on the contractual agreement made.
Despite the agreement made, the following activities are identified in the installation process and for each activity Labs31 can provide services:
Step 8c – Training & Commissioning
Finally we reached the phase where all material has been put in place, however we need to ensure that their functional.
As a result on the agreement made we can increase the level of training. This is off course depending on the experience of the laboratory staff. Experience with the methods (analysis) and the equipment.
Finally after the installation of the material and the training it is time to hand-over (or part of) the laboratory to the client. This is also referred to as commissioning.
In earlier stage it has been agreed upon how this process will be done. By using our (or clients) documents we go though this commissioning phase. As a result to ensure that we handover a good working laboratory to the client.
